Lots of places have a policy around managing storms

Arrangements people can make i:nclude but not an exhausted list: stay in town with family/friends or co-workers so that they do not have to drive the highways during bad snow days. I just read that Tim Horton's had closed the Hwy 1 branch and moved employees around so that the other two branches have staff to manage. Any essential business may keep a list of staff who have vehicles/snowmobiles that can be used to pick up staff and take them to work. I worked with a Nurse who was in charge of a small facility in rural Manitoba. She lived on a farm and had to get to work. She had someone take her into work via tractor that was driven across a field to town. I am sure other people have stories.
Normally sarcasm doesn't bother me but since covid people have gone overboard and come across rude and disrespectful. I was looking at a few social media outlets on weather/road reports. Wow the sarcasm is way too much. People are commenting about this being overblown and blasting those people giving us weather report/updates because their reports weren't 100% accurate need to take a step back and check their thoughts. This is obviously a slow moving system and mother nature holds all the cards. Some of which we can't possibly predict.
Stay safe everyone and please be kind.
