Not meaning to be a smart-arse, but just making sure I'm talking about the same event... Kiwanis Kar Derby?
If yeah, looks like they announced they wont be holding this year. From link below:
"At the January 25, 2022 Business Meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Brandon it was decided due to uncertainties going forward with respect to Covid-19, and related potential restrictions, that the Club would not hold the Kar Derby Event for 2022. We look forward to again hosting this fun family event in 2023. "
