Wondering if there is somewhere in Brandon I can buy glasses for the solar eclipse next Monday?

I don't think any of it will be seen around Brandon.

I still have my glass stuff that I got from the university? Astronomy club? I can't remember which. But an eclipse viewing party from 2 eclipses ago. Last one I couldn't find my glass, so we made a cereal box viewer instead, which worked surprisingly well. I have since found my glass. The glass is just welding glass lenses, but it has to be a special number or higher. They were scarce last time.

Obviously not totality, but around the Brandon area we'll see close to 50% coverage of the sun (just before 2pm). Still pretty neat to see if you have the proper glasses.

To the op, unfortunately I don't know where or if you can get eclipse glasses in Brandon. I ordered some from Amazon a few years back, you may have some luck there. Just make sure they're legit, I've heard there is alot of fake ones for sale.

If you don't find glasses or lenses, a projector is the next best thing. We made one similar to this last time and it works surprisingly well. It uses a cereal box and a few common household items that most people have (or can procure from the dollar store)

You can use a #14 welders glass from a welding supply or safety store, but it must be #14. Don't use auto darkening or anything lower opaqueness.

Check out magazines. The last time there was an eclipse in 2017 they offered free glasses inside of magazines on the newsstand. They also had a solar filter to place in front of a camera.

There is an article in the Sun today, stating that there will be a viewing party at BU. Glasses will be available for $1 each on a first-come, first-served basis. Telescopes will be set up outside the Brodie building at the Louise Ave entrance between 12:45 & 3 p.m. The peak will be approx 2 p.m.

I added a photo I took of the eclipse. I travelled up to Wasagaming, RMNP where the forecast was saying there would be less clouds. It was taken through my 5" telescope.
