Children like to play outside on our street and they like to play together. A MISERABLE woman gets home and tells her child to go inside while they are having fun and yells at the other kids to “get off her property”. Mind you, these are small children and are in grade 1/2. She was also encouraging her older child to swear at the younger ones and giddy about it. Hate and misery is taught at home. Let children enjoy each other’s company and be neighbourly!! What a world our children are growing up in. That was so disappointing to see.

that is really sad. I love to see kids playing outside! You know they are getting fresh air and exercise which is far better than having them glued to screens. When the neighbour kids are outside, my dog is allowed to go out to potty and then back in so he's not barking at them. I don't ever want to discourage them from being outdoors! Let them play!!

Before you even realize, they’re grown up and have their memories. Do you want to be in those memories, or would you rather be remembered as nothing but a workhorse (or worse..)? Playing with kids is what creates the bonds that will last your kids’ lives and greatly impact the kind of people they become.

Kids will hear that no matter what . So what if she don’t want them on her property. They own it . Plenty of parks for them to play in . Why does everyone get so butthurt about that kind of stuff . Don’t teach your kids to be jackasses . Teaching your kids to Respect people and their property starts with the parents . Simple.

I just wanted to point out that there's been numerous times over the years on ebrandon and elsewhere that people have complained about people on "their" property, when they are in fact complaining about someone parking on the public street in front of their house. Or their dog peeping/pooping on the public boulevard. Or people congregating on the public sidewalk. Etc.  
 
Her yelling "get off my property" does not, in fact, mean that the kids were on her property, were disrespecting her property, or where otherwise doing anything wrong to her private property.  
Children are also entitled to utilize public property, if it was public property they were on (they might have not been - we really don't know but would be inclined to give the kids the benefit of the doubt in this case based on the other actions described in the the original post).  
 
Adults should be modeling respectful behaviour. If adults are jackasses, so will the kids.

There’d be lots to say to everyone if a child were injured or worse on a street while they were playing.

From what I witnessed, the two little boys were not “on her property”. They were standing on the edge of her yard, trying to get the little boy in that house to come play with them. She says “Get the f**k off my property.” and her DAUGHTER which I’d say is between 10-14 also says “Get the f**k out of here.” So I agree, kids being jackasses starts at home with their jackass parents.
