The Palestinian people as a whole are a perplexing lot to the average westerner. They recently endured a short but costly invasion of Gaza by the IDF, who launched an offensive in order to stop them from manufacturing and firing rockets into Israel. After being thoroughly trounced, they agreed to declare a truce that would see the Israelis pull out of Gaza so long as they stopped launching missiles into southern Israel. Obviously they have a difficult time learning from previous errors as they once again broke the truce and today, fired two rockets into Israeli territory. My sympathy is with the average citizen of Gaza as they bore the brunt of the last Israeli offensive and will in all likelihood be the unfortunate recipients of the Israeli response to this latest breach of agreement, most likely perpertated by Hamas.
