Half a freezer full of rotten meat...

So I went to get some meat from our freezer today, and found that everything was rotten. At first I thought that the freezer was shot, but then noticed that it had been unplugged.
About a week ago we had an appliance guy come and fix our dryer which it right beside our freezer. He had everything pulled out to fix it and had to of accidentally unplugged our freezer.
We called the guy today and he denies everything and we talked to our insurance company but they only cover you if something electrical has happened. Do any of you ebrandoners know if there is anything else we can do? There was probably around $500.00 worth of meat in there.
