Fortunately, the wife and I respect each other's opinions.
I'm saying because, developing country's could learn a lesson. Canada and it's peoples pride themselves on women's rights to choose (whatever that means). If women decide to wait to start a family until they complete their degrees, establish themselves in a career, pay off the loans or when that nest egg finally arrived. That's all fine.
Women's choice over a career or family is clearly difficult. Can a She have both?
Decisions to get those eggs frozen for a later start. I'm speaking biologically, start younger when a womens fertile or take the subsequently risk of health for baby and mother.
Other country's looking to Canada as an example in women's rights of equality may need to take step back a realize the long-term ramifications.
In the OP I mentioned the term "underdeveloped country" which I can say is a true falsehood not recognizing cultural distinguishing differences unlike in the west. Before a country moves in the direction of "women's rights" a strong understanding of it's culture and "human rights" is a need.
If the the fabric of our society is deteriorating (a common belief) with all the crime, drugs and lack of reliable future workforce. Are we doing what's best?
Other economic powers could change some of their labour laws. Like raising the wage scale for women ten percent higher than mens.
