Not always that easy.....it can be hard to find sitter, and really, that shouldn't stop you from living your life.
I don't have a sitter always available to me for every event that we want to go to all the time, so our kids come with us most of the time. We take them to weddings, funerals, sporting events, etc. The more you do these things with your children, the better they will learn to participate properly. Start young....don't just always rely on sitters. We have plenty of friends who go to games as a family, because it's a fun family outing for them. They enjoy bringing their kids.
To the OP, if you wanna take your kid to the game tonight, go for it. You don't have to stay parked in your seat without moving the entire time. Get up, walk around a bit with them, make it an enjoyable evening for you and your child. Sorry, I can't help you with the hearing protection question though.
