900 block of First st: none so far but I have eaten only one chocolate bar. That is something to be proud of right?

Our first "weekend" halloween in Newfoundland. They started showing up just after 2 local time and finished around 8. Totally caught off guard. Got 38.

Was just totally rejected by a princess - group of 3 little boys and a girl came to the door. Went to put treats in her bag and she told me she didn't like that kind. The boys yelled "we do!" so they got treats and she stood there looking unhappy.
I thought if you got something you didn't like you just took it home for your Dad or little brother!

How many trick or treaters?

Just curious as to how many trick or treaters everyone had this year. Did the usual number go up with it being on a Saturday night? We had 40 kids in the Rideau Park area which is on the high side of normal for us. A lot more teenagers than I care to see but I guess as long as they're somewhat dressed up.

We live in the southwest area of the city and have had only half or less of the trick or treaters we expected

We had about 30 and ran out of candy (whoops!) there were still quite a few kids out when we had to shut off our lights. I was happy with the enthusiasm of the kids running from house to house, they were excited and still respectful!

You probably had my teenage boys come by then! They are good kids and keeping out of trouble. They know they need to dress up and they did. And the above poster is correct. Everyone is commenting on the original Halloween thread.

Had about 144 come by 'till 9:00, then dead after that. Up by twenty or twenty-five from last year. just finished taking everything down and brought inside during these past two hours...

...time to finally sit down have the remaining six baggies of treats (started with 150) and start thinking of the Christmas décor that needs to go up. LOL

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Right on the start of parkdale by argyle courts and got thirty kids. Up ten from last year.

Didn't get the first kid until after 7 so they all go double bags of treats that the wife made up. Probably 8 small bars/ gummies packs in each bag

I had 35 trick or treaters. First year in this area, however talking to another person in the area it seems to be low as usually get double that. Was quiet by 8 pm here.

up from the usual, as I usually get around 20 in the Rideau Park area.
As the op, I would just like to say I had every age, from a little one who had to be carried to a group of 4 boys who appeared to be 14 or 15. I appreciated seeing each and everyone one of them. All were very polite and thankful(maybe had something to do with the bagful each one got lol)

We only got 2 groups with 5 kids in total. Only 3 houses (including mine) hand out candy on our side of the street :s I'm sad to say that next year we probably wont be handing out candy as every year we get less and less kids. We did get the BU kids collecting for the food bank for the first time so that was nice.

We had just under 300. Ran out of treats around 7:30 so the lights were turned off. They started coming around 5:15.

That's right - 2. I bought enough for about 30 so when the only pair showed up at my house, they enough for 4 each....

I was the only one on my block with lights on and I am sure that had a lot to do with it.
