You bought a ticket to a social with entertainment, and the entertainment changed to something you don't like. What does your ticket say, 'insert name of band here' concert, or 'son of a beach social'. If it is the latter, why would you be entitled to a refund from the organizers? Perhaps the poor judgement is thinking you should get a refund. " |

I'd read what the others who agree with me have said. It's not unreasonable at all and clearly I'm not the only one who thinks that. Maybe don't be so defensive and try looking at it from the other way around? " |

Of course any reasonable business should refund you. Anyone saying otherwise is trolling. If I, or anyone who has any common sense at all, bought a ticket to a social or an event, and that event changed it's date, venue or performer, I would expect a refund, no matter what the "stated policy" said. It just makes good business sense.
Let's say the promotors couldn't secure a liquor license for the event. Using curlysisters logic, you wouldn't get any refund. That would be ridiculous. Call the better business bureau, they will advocate on your behalf.
