Math

Hi,
I am in the nursing program at ACC and took the Math for Nurses 15 hour class. I will be finishing my diploma in May.
There is a young 30's man that teaches the class and will go over the important aspects of math as it relates to nursing (think height, weight, measurements, giving medicine). Basically this means that the class will cover basic math having to do with fractions, decimals, measurements from micro-grams to milligrams, grams, pounds, kilograms and numerical placements to the left and right of the decimal point. It is not terribly difficult and is a simple math course intended to prepare the student to be successful in the nursing program. I wrote the test at the end of the course an received 95%. I made a few errors on the test simple mistakes. You are allowed to rewrite the test.
You will not go into advanced formulas or anything of the sort. I believe proportions will briefly be covered and maybe very basic algebra if I remember correctly too.
Sign up and have fun, its very relaxed and intended for you to be successful and not fail. Hope this explanation helps!
