I don't think the poster meant they knew him as a Physician, but as a person. Yes, Dr. Nichol will be a new physician, however he is not in his 20's. I believe Dr. Nichol will without a doubt be an excellent physician

I heard he is starting in May!

This is starting to get confusing. One starts in May and the other starts in August. Who? I'm going to try and call, get my name on their list. Website is not working for me, unfortunately. If anyone has information about Dr. Nichol (is he originally from Australia) and Dr. Akerele (who is he), that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all your opinions

He has been working in the hospital for quite some time now. I've seen him work first hand. I have also known him personally for years now. He is a terrific person and a caring fantastic physician.He is NOT in his 20's though, being mistaken to be in his 20's might make his day lol.

There is a WONDERFUL Doctor at the 7th Street Medical Access Center. There is also a nurse practitioner who will see patients. You must bring your Manitoba Health Card with you, but phone first to make an appointment...The number is 204_578-4800 and the doctor's name is Dr. Phil Fourie and he is so good...

Phil Fourie is a Clinical Assistant. The Nurse Practitioner is currently on mat leave until March 2018.

Looking for a family doctor - no one at Western Medical Clinic is accepting patients! I see folks here recommending Dr. Darrin Nichols - where does he practise? Can't find him anywhere. thanks

Dr Davis is an amazing dr. he's been my family dr for years and also last year took on my father as a patient. He was amazing with my dad who was very ill but Dr davis is the BEST DR

There were two doctors accepting new patients at Western Medical. They by far have the best patient care and when you make an appointment you are seen within a fair wait time, unlike another local north end clinic that will put walk ins ahead of your booked appointment time.  
Numerous times I sat watching walk ins arrive and see my doctor while I waited over an hour after my booked appointment. The staff even advised me that's how it works there. It's not about the patient it's about the number of patients they can see. It's patient beware at some clinics.

Has anyone seen Dr. Akerele yet? He just started and I am on his waiting list. Bedside manners? Education?
