With the traffic circle closed on 34th street, a lot of people are detouring down Elviss Crescent. The street is much busier now but the only problem I have with that is all of the speeders! This is normally a very quiet street with many families and seniors, please slow down! My children and others play outside everyday, they're not used to so much traffic so please be considerate and watch for playing kids.

A driver should drive with due regard for such conditions, the maximum posted speed limit is 50km/h on city streets including side streets ( unless otherwise posted) and 30 km/h in back alleys so what is considered speeding on elviss crescent?

People in this town don't drive for conditions it's always a rush.

Just wait until they start the 34th and Victoria Ave intersection this summer. People will probably start using Elviss and Park Ave even more.

Atleast going south on 34th st. , you have to turn left at Park Ave except for Local Traffic. Don't tell me people can't read! Where's the police enforcing this? I know people that live at Elviss and am over there a fair bit. There's a fair number of pedestrians who walk on the streets and kids playing. People should only be going 40km per hour tops.

Thanks for the heads up on all the detours. They 're doing 34th and Victoria later? That should be fun. I haven't had to drive along 34th all week. I know to avoid it now.

Hope the driver at 4:00 a.m. was happy with himself...Really necessary to speed at that time of the morning? Just for all to hear your lovely souped up car?

ummm just because there is a detour doesnt mean you can not take an alternative route, its not illegal to drive down any street haha, if there is actually people present then conditions would dictate a slower then 50 speed, even tho the law is 50, but pedestrians shouldnt be on the road either

No, the speed limit 50 km/h. People should be driving that, barring inclement conditions.

ummm... Local traffic only means if you go through if you live there, maybe visit a person or delivering mail etc.  
 
Local traffic only doesn't mean detour!  
 
There' no sidewalks on Elivss in case one doesn't know. Just because there's not reduced speed limit there doesn't mean one shouldn't use a bit of common sense.
