FYI I just stopped in at the Husky on first and they have almost the whole store on 50% off! Some pretty good deals

Did the 18th Street one by the 40 close? Or are they just doing renos? Was going to stop there for gas yesterday and saw it all boarded up.

The current retailer at the 3 husky locations has decided to move on to something different. The change over happens tonight. Try and support the local retailer by buying up as much of his stock as you can, it really sucks that we are losing an awesome guy.

So are all closing and then reopening? Would be nice if something was posted on the door to give clients some advance notice to use up their Husky Reward Points !!! I'll support local when local business' care about local people.

This has nothing to do with your Husky rewards points. They don't expire with the change of ownership. New owners will reopen you can continue collecting.

I spoke to a former employee , apparently all the old employees got let go !

That's a shame if what the above poster said is true. Some of those employees have worked there for years, even back when it was called Mohawk.

Tazzy, why would I ever choose to support local businesses when this is exactly how local businesses choose to operate? As of the past 6 months how many local businesses have shut down in the middle of the night leaving a hole in services needed and jobs gone, 3? As far as I'm concerned big businesses like Walmart are what keep both lasting jobs and lasting service to our local community.
