I have noticed the corner of 18th and College getting worse and worse with pedestrians almost getting hit by cars. I am honestly surprised there has not been more people hit by cars.  
 
I think It is time that i think Brandon needs to put up pedestrian crossing lights, like they have in front of Brandon University.  
I bet i have seen almost 20 people hit by cars in the last few months. Its going to happen sooner rather then later.  
 
Now i know someone is going to say well people should not walk in front of a car. I realize that. But its bound to happen.  
 
Has anyone else noticed this?

It was always a bad corner, imho.

Hate to say it but even with pedestrian crossing lights, there will still be accidents or near misses. Just like at the university, not everyone activates the lights or waits for traffic to acknowledge them before they even step off the curb.

City of Brandon does not have anything to do with 18th. This road belongs to the highways dept.

Yes it is bad. I have often said it would be good to see a cop sit there for awhile and watch..

some pedestrians expect drivers to be responsible to look for pedestrians when just as well pedestrians are acting just the same...not be responsible to look to make sure drivers see them. You do not just cross the street or push the button and cross anyway I sure don't.

Most common issue I see is the vehicle in the second lane not stopping, or even slowing down. People need to be aware you cannot pass a vehicle stopped at a pedestrian crosswalk.
