Looking for Potental Hit and Run Witness Sobies Shoppers Mall

Somewhere between 15:10-15:35 hrs This afternoon in the second row from the north end of the parking lot a vehicle contacted the right rear of a 2017 White Caddilac SUV, causing damage to that area. The driver did not leave any of the required information and fled the scene. As a result of the contact the suspect vehicle left behind debris that appear to be part of a plastic component and paint impressions. It's a shot in the dark but, did anyone happen to witness this act? I have filed a Police report.

Very little you can do. This very thing happened to me in the Canadian Tire parking lot but I was walking towards my vehicle at the time and actually got his license plate. I filed a police report and went to MPI and was told that regardless if they find him or not it's 50/50 in a parking lot and I was responsible for my own deductible.

similar happened to me about 8 years ago and MPI told me it was 50/50 unless you have a witness.

Not sure where this always 50/50 in a parking myth started but it's not true. It happened to my husband a couple years ago but a camera caught it all. We had to wait until they found the girl and got the deductible but did not cost a thing.

Check and see if there are any cameras on the nearby buildings. Worth a try!

My car got hit at Sobeys. I didn’t pay a deductable. The other person admitted to hitting me.
