Ok, so my boyfriend and I moved to brandon from vancouver. The boyfriends dad was diagnosed with a serious illness, and they were unsure of his future, so we moved to be close, "just incase". His dad has been building his own cabin and last summer we spent every single weekend there carting materials around, digging, yadda yadda yadda. Once we could no longer work there due to winter coming along, I found that we barely had any contact with his dad at all. Now this summer, we spent one weekend there, the following weekend I learned some very hard news on my side of the family and asked my boyfriend to stay home with me. Since that weekend his father hasn't called us, or returned our calls for that matter. And through the "grapevine" I have heard some terrible words that have allegedly come from him. I can see the effect it has on my boyfriend and I'm not sure what I should do...? I don't know if I should push for more contact or if I should let it run its course? I'm being put to blame for keeping my boyfriend from his "duties" and I'm begining to feel guilty, although I haven't said yay or nay to his going to see his father. In fact the subject is rarely brought up...
