yellow ball on the antenna thing

What is the story with all the little yellow ball thingy’s on all the car antennas?
For a man to walk around with a dumb ass colored bobble on top of his touk, that I can understand, as his wife’s way if showing he is taken, as only a married man would be whipped enough to wear a colored bobble on top of his touk,
(That or a three year old).
But the whole yellow ball on the antenna thing is just strange…and these people apparently do this to them selves!!!!
