It will come down to choices, for me. Service delivery in Dauphin is very poor, but, living costs are very low.  
 
Meeting someone is out of the question as this town is way too small and everyone knows everyone's business. There is a lot of pointing and staring.  
 
So, I can be alone here, or, probably, alone somewhere else? I have left lonely and desperate way behind. I do not believe in running away from anything as it will follow you, yet, I really do not have anything to run to.

I am super shy and have social anxiety and never know what to say in a crowd. I've never been really good at making friends (have been bulied all my life) and not into the whole bar scene. In my very very early 30's (yikes) and would really like to have some friends my age. I volunteer regularly I do operation red nose every year but every one seems to party.

I've always been a loner, I had a group of friends as a kid, but as I got older only stayed friends with one person whom I would still consider my best friend, granted we live 2 provinces away and text occasionally.  
 
I honestly don't know what a group of adult friends would even do together, am I being stereotypical when I assume they play fantasy sports league, poker nights or movie/tv group watching ?  
 
I feel like I've tailored my life around being solo but often read threads like this and wonder.  
 
I will say that the singles/friends bowling get togethers (hosted here on ebrandon) I attended a few years back were a good time, the few times I got the courage up to leave my house and go that is lol.

Scotsman-do not rule out the cat suggestion. LOL

I dunno. I may need to build into this slowly. Maybe start with a picture of a cat, move up to a stuffed cat, see how that works out first.

Cats are great, but dogs are not as judging. They love you even if you're an ass.

Considering the name that I have been called, "ass" would be an upgrade.

the art gallery has a craft and beer night Wednesday night's. Could be a fun way to make friends!

Same thing. But once in a while, we get a day pass and go to Brandon.
