souris river conditions and launch sites

Was wondering if anyone can tell me if the souris river is still deep enough for a larger canoe.And also any info on some good launch/pick up sites would be awesome! only ever go from souris dam to fairfax bridge but im looking for other maybe shorter trips.Any help?
