Just wondering what sort of experiences you have had at the beauty colleges in Brandon. I am finding it extremely expensive keeping up with colouring my hair at my normal salon, so am considering getting it done at a fraction of the price at one of the colleges, but also am a little nervous that I won't get the results I want.  
 
Please let me know your experiences (PM me with any negatives) so I know kind of what to expect.

I went there to get brown put in underneath and I ended up with a brown fingerprint in my blonde hair at the front. The girl was also rushing and mad that she had to cut my hair as well because she wanted to dye her own her after I left. This was years ago. I’m hoping that was just a one time thing as I have a friend who used to always go there and always had such nice dye and cut jobs.

I got to Systems on College Ave to get my hair coloured. No complaints. The instructors are always around and students do a great job.

I agree that Systems Beauty College is a great choice. Just remember its a training facility so expect it to take a little longer and cost a lot less. Plus you're helping a young person learn their trade.

If you are looking for an inexpensive haircut and colouring then yes a hair college is the way to go. But don't you dare expect the same quality and service you would get from someone who has been in the business for years. Established salons charge more for a reason in order to stay in business and to maintain thier quality experiences with building maintenance, advertising and supplies.

Allie Cat said "You go to Sally's Beauty whatever it's called at the Coral Centre, buy the brush, gloves, measuring cup, black container you mix dyes in, and then the dyes. There is a Chinese (?) lady there that can help you pick what you need. It's basically the same stuff salons use! I found it to be a lot cheaper in the end but that's provided you are comfortable coloring your own hair. "

What does the ladies ethnicity have to do with anything?? I am quite positive all the ladies at Sally's will be more then capable of helping her pick out hair dye.
