the problems when comparing the 2 prices is the fact that a single person running a small business out of their house with 1, maybe 2 employees is they can charge a lot lower price cause they have much smaller overhead. I used to manage a business that had huge overhead cause we were a national company with over 800 employees just in Canada alone. We could not compete with the smaller 1-4 unit/employee companies prices cause my cost not only paid for that 1 unit and employee it also paid a portion of everything else. But what the smaller companies couldn't compete with, was when the client was in trouble cause they forgot to call for the service we provided till last second I typically could provide them the service without delay (without additional cost for emergency call outs). Or if they needed specialized service, I had another 799 employees I could rely on for that specialized service. Unfortunately for the bigger business that isn't noticed until the client is in trouble, cause they forgot to call. So in this case, you may be paying more for your water with the new company, but if/when you run dry the bigger more expensive company probably will be able to supply your water quicker than the 1 truck guy that is already doing 5 other cisterns in his area that day and they won't get to you till next week.
But that is the joys of business and competition, you the client can go with anyone you want for a cheaper price.
