Car makers don't make the laws across the globe, that's for the local governments to decide. Let's say, for example you own a car that can only go exactly 110km/h , what happens when you drive on a highway rated for 90km?? Or you take that same car into BC where some posted limits are 120km/hr? Or into the US, where in some cases the posted limit is 85m/h or 137km/h. Again, car makers don't set the rules, we as drivers have to be responsible to adhere to them.
