What is your favorite laundry detergent brand ,  
powder , liquid , pods

I love tide oxi clean liquid. Really takes the smell of cat and smoke out of things.

Years ago, Used to use tide but then a group of school aged kids at the daycare I worked at, did an experiment and tide came out on the bottom. Switched to purex liquid. Then I made homemade powder soap for awhile but husband started to not like it so we’ve gone back to purex but in pod form. Sometimes will use gain too. We go between liquid and pod depending on what’s on sale

I always use scentless/hypoallergenic detergent. I have occasionally bought Tide, and even the hypoallergenic stuff some in my family will react to.  
 
My current favourite is EcoMax, although I really really like Allen's as well. We use Allen's for diapers, but it's pretty pricey to be used as a daily detergent.  
 
We always use liquid. I actually prefer powders, but with this new washing machine I find it doesn't always dissolve properly. I refuse to use pods as they seem very wasteful, and I hate that I have to use a pre-measured amount of detergent instead of figuring out the "dose" that works best for my machine, different loads and needs.  
 
I also use vinegar for rinses for some loads, especially towels.

I always buy liquid because when you live in the country with a septic system, the powders can cause problems with the residue they leave behind that goes into the septic tank. Also, use Allen's cleaning vinegar (about 2x the strength of "regular" vinegar for the rinse.

I like the persil liquid. But for cost per load Nellie's bulk from Costco is hard to beat.

I also like Persil.
