Can’t find much online, but am wondering what the minimum and maximum hours you can work as a casual employee of prairie mountain health?

To my knowledge there is no minimum or maximum. It means that you do not have a position but will pick up shifts when needed, if you are available. So you are filling in vacation time, sick time, etc. So depending on the department there could be many shifts or few shifts. I do believe regular staff can pick up shifts first, before a casual worker can.

Was unaware that there was no min or max and was basically if theres shifts and if your available. May just be the kinda ticket I'm looking for. Currently have a job with sporadic hours all over the place and been looking for something that can fill in on some days off here and there.

Actually, in a sense, there is a minimum: if you turn down a certain number of shifts in a certain number of months, you're out. It rarely happens because they are usually always calling, and as long as you are available then no worries. I know this, I worked there.

No max, no schedule, you can bid on the shifts that you want for the next month or so. Previous poster is right though, if you don't pick up enough Shifts your out, but to get to that point would mean you don't pick up anything.

Thanks! I need to find a job where I don’t need to work much in the fall because I have to help out with harvest, but can still work the rest of the year.
