Does anyone here do mall walking? Do you have to sign up? I tried to find a map indicating distance at the mall and their new site doesn't seem to even mention mall walking

Yes, there is mall walking. There is a form that they would like you to complete and it's available at the Customer Service desk. Not sure of hours now, but doors are open well in advance of the mall stores' 9:30 a.m. opening and until the stores open there is a coat rack beside customer service so you can hang up your coat and not have to wear/carry it while walking. They also used to have a mall map that outlined various distances walked depending on which hallways you went down, etc. but I haven't seen a new one since all the renos were completed adding Sobeys and Shoppers Drug Mart to the mall. If you can't find info on the mall website, I would suggest calling or stopping by the Customer Service desk for details. If you prefer to walk during mall hours, rather than before stores open, you just go and walk.
