I have about 20 carpeted stairs don't have central vac and don't want to haul out the big vac every time to do stairs . Which HH vac holds the power to do stairs ?

I have an Eureka easy clean I bought a year ago for very same reason. I am very happy with it. Bought at a shop in Brandon. Long cord and good suction.

We've found Shark vacuum cleaners to be excellent. We've had the Shark Pet Perfect cordless hand held with a removable motorized brush. It worked wonderfully on carpeted stairs. Great not to have a cord to trip over and the battery lasted quite a while.  
It's on sale in the latest Canadian Tire flyer. Walmart also carries Shark vacs.  
Shark also has the slightly more expensive Pet Perfect with lithium battery.
