Rent assist is hard to get as their eligibility in my opinion a little out dated it says the following on the website:
have a net annual income of less than $25,600 for a single person, or $29,280 for a single person 55 years of age or older, or a person who qualifies for the Disability Tax Credit or receive Canada Pension Plan Disability benefits, $32,960 for two people, $42,400 for three or four people and $54,360 for five or more people

I "should" qualify but according to their calculator online I would get something around $4 a month. Which is really tough as come this year when pharmacare resets my first month of medications will be over $1,000.. Do I pay rent?? eat?? or get my medication?? (most health coverage only cover up to $200/year)
It is really tough when rent is over 65% of your incoming wage and the prices of rental places in Brandon are continuing to rise... Income... not so much...
