The MDR position at the hospital pays $19 as an underfill (if you do not have the education). They require 8 week mentoring with full time hours with varying shifts (7am-315pm, 10am-615pm, 1-9pm including weekends, nights and holidays etc) as its a 24 hr facility. Once you finish the 8 weeks they decide if its a good fit then you must take the program (online through Sk, Vancouver or MDRAO) at your expense. It must be completed in 4 months. Once you are certified it goes up to $24/hr. Generally, the only way to get in to this role is if you start as a casual underfill or are an internal hire transferred from another area. It's extremely detailed work. I do not recommend taking the program anywhere else or in any other way as it may not be recognized in MB.
