Nice People

We all complain so much about things that happen in life. I'd like to talk about 2 events that happened recently.
About 2 years ago, I had a large square store install a command start in my new car. THis spring, I went out to my car one day to find that a large piece of the interior of my car had fallen off. Upon closer inspection I discovered that when the piece had been removed to insert the wiring, the tabs that hold the piece to the frame of my car had been broken and they had "fixed" it by using sticky velcro tape.
I was pretty upset about this and so I called the store and spoke to a young man there and explained to him my problem. He asked me to come down so he could take a look, and so I did. He looked at it, and took my phone number and said that he'd have to check with his supervisor to see if they could do anything about it. After all - it was 2 years ago....
So, I gave him my number, fully expecting not to even hear from him, much less them doing anything about the problem. Surprisingly, I heard from him a few hours later and he told me that his supervisor said there was nothing he could do for me. However - he also said that he had a new piece for my car and if I'd bring it back he'd FIX it for me!!
I was speechless. I had to ask him to repeat himself!!
I took my car down, not really knowing what to expect, but he actually had a new piece for my car - he brought it out to the parking lot and installed it for me. I was so happy I didn't even know what to say - so as I said thank you - I can't believe you did this - he said "well, you were such a nice lady - you didn't come in here yelling at me and threatening me like most people do, so I really wanted to help you. I called a few friends and was able to find you a new part."
I still can't believe that he took it upon himself to help me with this, when his company wouldn't.
In return I mailed a letter of recommendation to his store, and to the head office of the company, explaining how wonderful he was. It was a win for both of us! THank you George!
AND - just today I was shopping at Sobey's. The lady in front of me had quite a few groceries and she had forgotten her card. So then she asked me if I had mine - and if I wanted to use it - she would just give me her points so they wouldn't go to waste! I was again, shocked by this!
It was a small thing - but I thought it was thoughtful of her!
So, Brandon - what has someone done for you that restored your faith in humanity lately? Let's hear it!
