As someone who has interviewed hundreds of job applicants, I'd recommend you dress for the interview, not the job.
Many people don't get jobs because they underdress for the interview, but I've yet to see someone go unhired due to overdressing.
Dressing well shows that you are taking your job interview seriously, plain and simple.
