But the courts have set the precedence for these situations and payouts. They are likely to get a payout whether it''''s settle in or out of court. It''''s hard to say which deal is better for taxpayers.
Like I mentioned before, the people making the decision to hold prisoners without charge or conviction are to blame.
Didn''t mean to hijack thread. I''m not referring to the "gentleman" suing the government. He isn't a canadian citizen. That''s different from the recent payouts being given.
