Looking for feedback/recommendations for local lawyers for a real estate transaction. We are buying a home privately and neither the seller or I are familiar with local lawyers that will do this. We are fine with using the same one, already have agreed on what needs to agreed on, just need someone to make it legal. Does anyone have suggestions or a ball park price on costs for both buyer and seller? Thank you!

Yes don't use the same lawyer. The lawyer will advise you that it's best if you don't as well. That also means using someone from a different office too as its a conflict of interest.

We have used Derek Cullen from Meighen Haddad LLP and have found him to be great. We too are from out of the area and appreciated his assistance.

We use Carl Burch 204-728-1818.

We - both parties - used Derek at Meighen Haddad and he was good. Made us pay a little more because of a suggestion he made, but was fair to both and upfront.

I have used Karla at Meighen Haddad for multiple deals in the past and she has always been great.

Terri Deller law office is on princess ave beside Lindenhurgs. Her rates are the best for your buck. She specializes in real estate. We have used her for approx 20-25 years buying and selling homes and revenue properties.
