    Looking for input on Ixtapa, Mexico. In general, or more specific the Azul resort. Things to do etc.

    Have been to Ixtapa several times, and it was my favorite place in Mexico. It is smaller than Peurta Vallarta or Cancun, very clean, safe and always perfect weather.  
    There are all the usual watersports available, parasailing, tours, beach activities, shopping.  
    Not familiar with the Azul resort, but have not been there in about 10 yrs.

    If you like the heat..........this is the place to go. About 5 degrees warmer then PV.Great beaches , Golfing is reasonable priced . Great food/cheap restraints. Great Bic riding/walking trails. Rent is cheaper then in PV.Great entertainment in the bars,live bands, Having said that,a bit too hot for me.........PV is almost perfect.

    We went to PV last year for a week and stayed at Paradise Village - - great place if you ignore the time share guys for the first day. Lots to do, beautiful place with a mall just outside the gate.
