Where do you recommend? We are looking for somewhere in February preferably. Doesn't have to be an all inclusive beach vacation necessarily. Just somewhere to escape to and relax. Change of scenery. Not Cuba pls!!!

We love Jamaica! Negril is wonderful

I loved Jamaica also. Was at a Secrets in Montego Bay - so was all inclusive. I would love to go to the Dominican or Costa Rica as well. I've had a few friends do Costa Rica and rave about it and would go back in a heartbeat!

Punta Cana was gorgeous but not a lot to do outside the resort.. Excursions yes, but shopping no! It's a very poor area

either Cozumel or Tulum for do nothing, relaxing.. If the seaweed is gone, Tulum has better beaches but Cozumel has better snorkelling/water sports., Cozumel better selection of food, maybe better nightlife. Tulum is pretty mellow.  
Cozumel , more English is spoken. Both are pretty safe, little bit of theft but not much in the way of violence. If you want more exploring activities, I would head for Tulum. You can fly out of Winnipeg to Cancun.  
Costa Rica is an amazing country with a lot of things to see and do. Maybe the best hot springs resorts I have ever been to up by Arenal. Just don't ask about the snakes.
