Looking at visiting in the dinner 2017. Anyone have travel tips??

We had a quick visit to Going to the Sun Road (brakes failed on the way in and we had to drive through this way with SLOW and meandering people walking across at certain points...check your brakes before heading up...lol): http://www.dangerousroads.org/north-america/usa/233-going-to-the-sun-road-usa.html  
 
We stayed at a really nice campground just outside the west park gate. A very friendly elderly couple owned it. They have homemade huckleberry pie available in season. http://www.sansuzedrvpark.com/ Huckleberry especially are awesome!  
 
We also went to a ghost town on a mountain. I don''''t remember the name right now. The road going up was full of washboards which made the trip up and down stressful for me, but the old town was interesting.  
 
We visited a beautiful huge mansion at Kalispell and saw the huge falls as well.

We only traveled through Montana on our way home from BC. From the area we drove through it looked beautiful. Lots of lakes and parks by the looks of it. We stayed in Helena and it was beautiful.  
 
Whenever we go to a new place I always call their chamber of Commerce office and Tourism office to send me any information on their state. It is usually full of highlights and sometimes coupons. I have always got one wherever I have requested one - they like when you call and ask about their state!

I thought Montana was great. Bike trip a few years ago.  
If you want a hotel book well in advance. We stayed in tents and didn't have any problems.  
From Brandon we made our way to mazoula Montana and made our way over the bear tooth highway into Wyoming and yellow stone park.  
From there we made our way to kalispell and the highway to the sun in glazier national park. For the most part we did not use the interstates, but rather the secondary highways.  
They were in good condition and perfect for bikers or hey even a sports car.  
Highway to the sun does not allow motor homes over a certain length due to the narrow steep road. Bear tooth highway is the same I think.  
We travelled for six days and saw some great countryside, met some nice people and had an overall great trip.  
You could also have a close encounter and bust Devils tower Wyoming. Nice area and on the way to Montana.  
However you decide to go enjoy. We did.
