Hwy 10 through the park

Anyone travelled through the park on #10 north lately? Just wondering on condition of road as we are pulling a 38'' fifth wheel.

Just went through from the south gate in Wasagaming to around Grayling Lake, and it's not horrible most of the way. There is a good 5 minute stretch of really nice freshly paved road which is incredibly smooth. That being said, some of the stuff right before and right after that new patch is HORRIBLE. Again for the most part it's manageable, but you should definitely be careful going over those rough patches, and I don't know the condition of the road north of Grayling Lake either. Good luck!

It depends on where you are heading to but I regularly travel north from Brandon pulling an enclosed cargo trailer. The road through the park is so bad that I now actually go a different route entirely. The beating the truck & trailer takes on that route makes it not worthwhile for the extra 20 minutes to go another way.

That smooth spot is the best but other than that, it's really bad; maybe even worse than Rapid City to Minnedosa. At least you're onnly going 80; 60 and 70 in spots. Highway 5 is a great alternative if your destination isn't in the park. AVOID Highway 19!!!

The pavement is a little choppy. A 38 inch trailer shouldn't make much difference. Just need to go a little slower in the rough spots.

Thanks for the replies. It was pretty bad, will most likely take another route coming back.

And DEC, it is a 38 foot fifth wheel, I guess I typed that wrong (how could one even have a 38 inch 5th wheel???? Lol!)

Agree with all, it is ba-rootal in many spots.

I hauled a car through the park a couple months back, and I went through Neep, but from the #1/5, not the #10/16/5. Much more peaceful.

Whom can we blame for this travesty of a highway? 50/50 Harper/Sopuck?
