People who have been in Barcelona, please share some of your tips, experience, must to do things and must not to do things in Barcelona. How many days would be good to stay and visit most sites. Dec, Jan should be good time to visit there, should not?

Have you checked out Trip Advisor? We are headed to Barcelona in February and there are a tonne of great resources, reviews and forums on there to help plan your trip!

We were in Barcelona for part of our honeymoon in 2011. We boarded and departed our cruise ship there. Very similar to Paris with the tourist double decker buses that take you to all the sights in the city. There was 3 separate routes and we did one route per day...you can but one pass for the week. Lots to see.. La Rambla is the main tourist strip to walk that leads to the harbours. Sagrada Familia, the 93 Olympic sites, the market leading to the art museum, gaudi''s artistic buildings and such. Im a soccer fan and you can tour FC Barcelona's stadium Camp Nou, museum like walk thru there. Beach is nice if the weather stays ok...we went in may not sure what it''s like in December. When walking make sure you keep tabs on your wallet/purse. We kept bag over shoulder with zippers. Saw a guy get his pocket picked when on La Rambla from a distance... hotels were nice as well. I liked Barcelona over Paris...but we did not get outside Barcelona in our 4 days there. Airport was easy to navigate as well! Enjoy your trip, jealous! Haha! <:img src=:images/icon_smiley.gif>:

I am checking trip advisor and other sites but it is always good to hear local people''''s experience.  
Ruzzy, could you see all the major sites in 4 days or you wished you had more time? I am thinking 5 or 7 days but I am not sure yet. any advise on this? I do not want to stay 2 more days without adding quality in to trip and site seeing, but at the same time I do not want to miss a lot not staying for 2 more days.  
How many days are you planning to stay Michelle?( Just curious)

I think if you want to spend time in each venue then 4 days goes by pretty fast... there were a few things we did that we went thru pretty quickly. And again I believe there are a few things to do outside Barcelona as well... I would think a week would allow enough time to see the major sites and spend some time taking it all in... just depends what you're into and what else you're planning around that specific 5 to 7 days. I felt we could have spent a couple extra days when we were there... but Barcelona wasn't the main part of our trip, it just happened to be the port for our Italian cruise. Lol!
