Are you referring to a 'shop hop' type of bus tour, that stops at a number of quilt shops? I went on one organized by McPhail Travel a couple of years ago, with a friend. There were ladies who went on the trip every year! We went just the once, but I would definately go again in the future (I have trouble justifying another trip to buy fabric when I haven't used up all the fabric from the last trip! LOL.) There is no way that I would ever drive to the shops that we stopped at, they were all small locally owned shops with fabulous selections. Many fabrics, patterns, and kits that were not available in Canada. Some shops gave us a little gift (like a couple of fat quarters, or a pattern, etc) and some offered a discount on purchases (of 10-20%). I bought something at every one of the 10 or 12 shops that we stopped at. The only small issue was line-ups, because some of the smaller stores only had one till and there were 40+ of us making purchases. But at stores where I didn't buy much, or where I was one of the first through the till, I went another nearby store, or just went for a walk to get some fresh air.
