We are wanting to take a Mississippi Paddlewheel Cruise around New Orleans. Would prefer a 2 or 3 day cruise. We would like to see the plantations and country around there. I can find a bit of information on the internet. The travel agencies do not have brochures on this, they go by the internet as well. Can anybody share their experience. Company to go with, where to stay, etc. Thank you.

we didn't take a cruise but stayed at Historic Rathbone Mansions B & B. It was a nice walk along Esplanade to the Market area and Bourbon St. The hosts were great, visiting with the other guests over breakfast added to the experience. Several Canadians were there at the same time as us. We did visit the Destrehan Plantation. St. Louis cathedral is beautiful. Jackson Square is interesting with all the street vendors and musicians and buskers. Have fun. so much to do , too little time.
