It was definitely there is 2006, but I remember it being pretty new then.

I'm going to say construction stated in 2004, with the first store opening in 2005 or 2006 which would of been Wal-Mart and Home Depot.

From the forum archives, found an early August 2005 post with a poster proclaiming "new Walmart open" and sharing first thoughts.

Home Depot was first, I remember it was a big deal about where they were putting it because it was all just field there then. It was maybe around 2003 when Home Depot's future location was being discussed.
Cater Drive area was pretty new too around that time.
