Historical Business Records

Does anyone have suggestions for places to search out historical business records from the 1950-1970 era? I am interested in one particular business that existed in Brandon during that time.
The Brandon Sun has archived classified ads that have provided a few hits, but more may exist from tax records, phone books etc.
