I am currently researching local history for the sequel to "New Beginnings". Although I have the basic plot figured out I am looking for more historical information, in and around Brandon ... in Westman almost anywhere. I have already received some family history which has such things as wages, grocery costs, etc which really adds the validity of the story.  
 
I am interested in:  
-1883 to 1887-90 for this book, but I am gathering info for future books in the series.  
-info about the Brandon Hills around Lake Clementi (Lake McPherson in the 1880's)  
-Westman info  
-famous people from that era - political, outlaw, etc.  
-website direction along with book suggestions.  
-family histories (there is a possibility that family names can be mentioned if it is desired).  
-there will be some travelling either south (maybe to the Blackhills) or west in this book (went east in the first one) so any info, suggestions or directions that way will be appreciated too.  
 
Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions. As I have been telling anyone waiting for the sequel, I am hoping that book two will be near completion this fall.
