I am looking for links to sites that contain mainly Manitoban history from 1883 - 1890. I am searching for some interesting pioneer stories, info about Brandon's participation in the Battle of Batoche (local opinions) etc etc etc ... almost anything, even grandma's pie recipe.
I spent yesterday afternoon at the library searching though the newspapers on microfilm but found they were almost impossible to read so have axed that idea.
Any other ideas for finding history would be very much appreciated.
