The first Rail accident in Brandon (1882)

On September 25th 1882 just one year after the Railway was established in Brandon. Dr. Fleming requested city council to pay his $154 bill for "attendance on the Niblock lad, run over on the Railway track." Thus young Niblock became the first person in Brandon to be injured by a railway train.
