I see Mr Booth posted prior ... but I found new information in my travels.

William Hicken WEBB and his wife Mary Jane operated Pacific Laundry in the vicinity of the 200 block of Pacific Avenue East.
Mr Webb shot his wife in front of his four young children and then voluntarily surrendered himself to authorities. While the trial took place in the next 3 to 4 days, her body became a public spectacle as it laid under ice to preserve it as evidence.
Mr Webb was subsequently hung at the Brandon Gaol nearly four months later.
His four children went on to various families in the southern Manitoba area.
I find this INCREDIBLY interesting.
