the Brandon Consumers Credit Union was founded.
Its first office was in the Brandon Consumers Coop on the six hundred Block of Sixth Street, it’s now a Bingo Hall.
In 1967 they moved to the bigger Coop Store on 638 Princess Avenue, lately it was the home of Converges, and they were tucked in the basement next to the furniture department.
The name was changed to the Westoba Credit Union Limited on January 1st 1973, and new offices were built on the corner of Tenth Street, and Princess Avenue that opened May 25th 1974.
