In August 1973, a new 1350-foot tower was completed south of Brandon at Hayfield, it was at the time the tallest in Canada.
On October 31, 1973, CKX-TV went to full colour with two new colour cameras a TV production switcher and technical facilities.
Mr. Craig the owner once said, “The future lies in local programming, and its part in the community.” How true it was, and today when they closed, CKX produced two hours of local programming packed with community news.
