Prime Minister Mackenzie King signed the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan agreement. Though an international agreement between Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, Canada would be a centre for most of the activity with 107 schools nationally – including Brandon Manitoba
By the time the program ended on March 31,1945 a total of 131,553 students (50,000 of them pilots), had been trained.

Brandon volunteers have restored CATPM hangar and the Federal Government has declared it a National Historic Site packed with WWII and aviation artefacts including a Tiger Moth.
