We (aka-The Evans) are reviving the Film Festival Weekend  
for our 50th year.  
 
I'm interested in stories & favorite memories  
of others who attended & volunteered over the  
past 50 years!

I'll start....  
I remember showing 16mm films when I was 16 in the "BU Little Theatre " with my old friend Freddie Kruger(For those that didn't know him that was his real name!) Sure miss him! What a great guy!.... Ken

I believe it was year 2 of the Brandon Film Festival. I was a spectator back then, sitting in the front row of the Evans Theatre watching the movie "Giant" with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. I heard a loud noise and as I turned to look, I felt a reel of film fall at my feet. Back in those days we were using old Bell&Howell 16mm projectors. Both the take-up reel and the feed reel had small clips which had raised to keep the reel on the spindle. Two of our veterin projectionists were working that night and one of them forgot to raise that clip. Consequently the reel fell off the spindle and rolled all the way down the center aisle and stopped at my feet !! At this point, the film broke and we went to white screen...the Director was not impressed. It was then I decided they need my help and I've been there ever since. Memories !!!
